Quincy Struss is a lifelong resident of Massachusetts. Proudly raised in the city of Brockton. Throughout her early life, in every school she attended, she could be found hanging out in the art room. After school, she had careers as a nurse, community organizer, and personal assistant, but her desire to make art remained. In 2018, she began attending classes at the Academy of Realist Art Boston. Academic training developed her skill set and expanded her artistic vocabulary
Her life has given her perspective on how not only to endure but also thrive in the pursuit of creativity. This experience has led her to create spaces and opportunities to support other artists in realizing their creative potential.
She is currently working on a series of oil paintings exploring ideas about solitude and the places we go when we don’t want to be seen.
